Symbolisim = LIFE!
In the play, themes, motifs, and themes. These things are used in reading to draw a picture in the reader's mind to better understand the text.. The biggest one that everyone is familiar with is his fence. Since the play is" about "Fences"., you would think that is the the biggest symbol here. His fence is acually a representation of the border he keeos around his self and family.There were plenty more themes as well. =).
